SINTRA RETREAT OVERVIEW

Our historic estate, now turned into luxury retreat venue for retreat leaders that was formerly the property of the famous British writer and father of “Sherlock Holmes,” Sir Arthur Conan Doyle who lived with his family at the end of the 1800’s. During the 1900’s it became regular gathering spot for celebrities of the time such as Sir Francis Cook, the South African poet Roy Campbell and the American actress Gloria Swanson between others.

Today it’s still a gathering spot for many as the actual owners have decided to share it’s opulence and grandeur as a place for high end retreats to experience healing in total comfort and providing a unique experience in the hills of Sintra, a place known for its palaces and connection with nature.

A superb south west orientation gives our luxury retreat venue in Portugal a captivating warm light that bathes the land while you watch the sun set in the far ends of the Atlantic Ocean providing a beautiful experience in a location once called the Lunae Mons (mountains of the Moon) by the Romans.

 Our amazing luxury retreat venue in Portugal is set on the old magical road of Sintra that links most of the palaces right on the Sintra Hills, a mountain range in western Portugal next to the enchanting UNESCO world-heritage village of Sintra. The estate consists of four hectares of land that host the Palace and three other villas in a very enchanting scenario.

A total of fifteen well-equipped bedroom Suites and Residences can accommodate up to 30 lucky guests with fantastic amenities and the most lavish gardens with six natural springs supplying its unique rich in mineral water. The grounds invite to explore your connection with nature in a very special and energetic place whilst the vegetable gardens and animal Farm provide with fresh milk, eggs, organic vegetables and fruit to nourish your crowd with the best natural fuels.

This is a fantastic location to create a memorable large group event or the best retreat location for those bonafide clients that need a relaxing but luxurious escape in a very memorable space that will stay in their memories for ever.
