MINDFUL WALKS ON TUSCAN CLAY

Just outside our tuscan villa oasis we have big stretches of land that during the summer months turn into hard clay that can be ideal for mindful walks around the hills, to the town of Pienza or simply to witness the amazing natural wildlife that can be found in this beautiful part of Italy. With your group you will be able to roam around the venue, the land and simply be yourself just like Barbara and Sabrina ( the owners) do every so often expressing themselves.

VISIT THE RENAISSANCE TOWN OF PIENZA

Visit the UNESCO world heritage town of Pienza which is located at the top the hill from our retreat venue in Tuscany. An ancient town renamed and redesigned in the 15th century by Pope Pius II as an ideal renaissance town intended as a retreat from Rome. This was the first town where humanist urban planning concepts where applied, which then were spread to other Italian cities and European centers. You might recognize this town if you watched the mini series “the Medici” which was filmed in this main square.

TRUFFLE HUNTING IN WINTER

If you decide to run your retreat in Tuscany during the winter months you can experience truffle hunting in the nearby oak forests of San Giovanni D’asso. With the help of some wonderful dogs that will do all the hard work searching, whilst you and your group mindfully follow them in the hunt for these amazing natural gems that are the golden nugget for chefs around the world.

E-BIKE TOUR AROUND TUSCANY

Supporting the local economy is something we encourage for the success and sustainability of the experiences in the region, that is why a wonderful experience we recommend is to do sightseeing with the e-bike (electric bikes) tour provided by our local guide Lucca. He will take you through some amazing little towns, stop at wineries, visit the Bagno Vignoni natural thermal springs and get to know the beauty of this amazing region of Italy just like a local.

NATURAL THERMAL SPRINGS IN BAGNO VIGNONI

Last but not least, the thermal springs of Bagno Vignoni near our gorgeous Italian retreat venue are a MUST visit with your group. Famously rich in sulphur, calcium, magnesium and sulphur bicarbonate, all great for skin conditions, respiratory disorders and joint and bone problems. These natural springs have been used for their curative properties since the Roman times and now the major hot springs are used by spa hotels and medical centres. But best of all are the wild hot springs which are scattered around the countryside, free and untamed – if you know where to look.

We believe our Tuscan retreat venue itself will attract due to its architectural, design and natural beauty around it but when you couple it with an array of amazing experiences like the ones above you are definitely onto a wellness winner as it will enrich your body, mind and soul for sure!

Now, you just need to head over to our property page and book your dates!
